Ear infection....

Noah got his first ear infection in September as well. He ran a fever at school and couldn't return for 24 hours so Josh stayed home with him. I came home from work to find this scene....It was so sweet.
I was sick twice this month and Josh had to take care of Noah completely on his own. He's so great with him that I didn't have to worry about a thing. I am so blessed to be married to Josh. And Noah is lucky to have such a wonderful daddy.

It's a bird. It's a plane....

It's SUPER NOAH!!!

Noah got invited to a Super Hero birthday party for Will and Jay. The Brothers Hobbs turned 2 and 4 in September. Katie, Will and Jay's mom, planned a great party. Each kid got their own super hero cape. Of course Noah's was green and gold.

Cousin Ava looked cute in her purple and pink Super Girl cape.

Will and Jay get ready to blow out their candles. Josh asked Will, "When will you turn 4?" Will replied, "As soon as I eat my cake." So this was a very important moment for him.
Happy Birthday, Will and Jay!! We had so much fun at your party.

Pillsburys...Heehee....

Our good friends, Mike and Amanda Pillsbury, came to visit us and Noah in September as well. Mike went to law school with Josh and Amanda and I taught together in Burleson. They live in Alabama now so this visit was extra special.

We went out with a big group Friday night and Nannie baby sat Noah. It had been a long time since we went out without the baby and we had a blast. The next day Amanda and I hit Northpark early in the morning and shopped til we dropped. We then met Mike, Josh, RT and Lyric for lunch. RT and Lyric brought their little boy Cole with them.

Pillsburys, we love y'all and hope you move back to Texas soon. Until then, when is our next vacation??

Oh Bumbo!!!

Noah loves to sit in the Bumbo. He really seems to dig it when we place it in front of a mirror. Is our kid vain?? Noah's chubby thighs often get caught in the Bumbo when we try to lift him out though.

Schlitz...

Josh drank his first Schlitz beer on our Iowa trip. My grandfather only drinks Schlitz...."Schlitz for a Schmitz" he says. If you've never had a Schlitz, well.....you're not missing much!

First airplane ride....

Noah went on his first airplane ride the second weekend in September. We went with my parents to Iowa to visit Noah's great grandparents. Noah did great on the flight to and from Iowa.

Great Grandma Rita and Great Grandpa Lester both thought Noah was the cutest thing they'd seen in quite a while. Noah also got to meet his Great Uncles John and Tim and his Great Aunt Peg on the trip.

Visit with Jaimie G and trips to the pool....

Noah hangs out with Jaimie G (and Steve) at Chuy's. Afterward we went over to Noah's Nannie and Poppy's house and Noah went swimming for the first time. He wasn't so sure about laying on the beach chair but liked the water....until it was nap time and then we had a total meltdown. It was the only time we got in Nannie's pool all summer but I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot of time there next year!!

Conflicts...

**Disclaimer: Don't tell my former (or current) boss about this post!!

Well, work is really getting in the way of my blog time. There are two main reasons for this:

1) they actually expect me to work at my new job. This is a new concept for me. You see at my old job I once said that if I actually did stuff all day I could get everything done in 2-3 days a week and therefore just work part time. Last year I would come into work and spend the first hour or so checking email and reading blogs. I would often write my own blog from my office. I would also take care of other personal business. For example I planned and booked our entire Belize vacation from the comfort of my desk at work! There was also a lot of sitting around in other people's offices talking and long lunches. Long story short, it rocked.
And at my new job...well, there is work to do. Much more work. And there are deadlines. And the other people around me have tons of work ethic and are really driven....so longer story shorter I have to actually do work.

2) the other problem is that my work's internet system has a serious filter on it. And although it will allow me to read blogs via blog lines I can't actually log into blogger or look at any blogspot pages. This seriously limits my ability to comment on blogs. So now I read blogs and think about comments but never get to post them. Isn't that sad??
